Bryan/College Station is home to Texas A&M University, the Texas Aggies. Texas A&M and the University of Texas have one of the longest standing and tumultuous rivalries amoung universities in the United States. Aggies jokes are world famous and probably promoted by UT students and alumni. When College Station or Bryan are mentioned they are both included. The population of the combined area is about 200,000. Publications include the Bryan/College Station Eagle, The Battalion (Texas A&M) and The Press. Television statons include KBTX (CBS), KAMU (PBS), KYLE (Fox), KRHD (ABC) and KMAY (NBC).
