Ft. Worth is next door to Dallas and is a major part of the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex. Dallas and Ft. Worth share the MLB team the Texas Rangers who actually play in Arlington, Texas, also part of the Metroplex. Ft. Worth’s population is about 700,000 and continues to grow rapidly as part of the Texas Metroplex. Most of what you say about Dallas is also true for Ft. Worth. Ft. Worth has the history and reputation of being Cattle Town USA. Major trail drives ended in Ft. Worth with it’s major stock yards, feed lots and cattle slaughtering facilities. Much of the nations meat used to come from Ft. Worth. Ft. Worth is the 17th largest city in the United States and is home to TCU University whose team is named the “Horned Frogs.” In 2009 the Horned Frogs The Horned Frogs finished the season 12–1 and played #6 Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl on January 4, 2010.
